Minikota's I Got My Game On

Mena ( AKC CH UKC GR CH Lovsjokarrs Filip ROM CGC x Minikota's Hypatia ) is a gray sable female who was bred by Minikota Swedish Vallhunds and is my first Vallhund. Mena is the dog who started it all, an amazing little girl who came to me at a year old she is goofy, loyal and very naturing. I could not ask for a better dog. Everyone who has had met her and spent time with her loves her.  

 

She is my first show dog and Mena got her first major in October of '13. Mena got her second major in St. Cloud, MN (home turf advantage) in December of '13 with all her extended family watching. She also won BoB in the North Star Herding Speciality.  Mena finished her championship title in June '14,  with three majors and six singles, it was the best birthday present I could ask for. Mena continues to give all she has to me as an owner, her first show back in a year Mena was awarded a Group 1 placement in a NOHS, she finished that weekend placing as #3 Owner Handler Vallhund in the country and finished the year as #5. Mena is now retired from the show ring*. She proves me, we are still a great team. She's the best first show dog I could ever ask for. 

 

Mena is the inspiration for the kennel name Maena, it is a combination of my name and hers, I wanted to pay tribute to my heart dog, allowing her to leave a legacy on all of my future puppies.

 

* Please note, Mena is retired, but living her best life at 13 and a half years old.
